Molecular diagnostics is a collection of techniques used to analyses biological markers in the genome and proteome the individual's genetic code and how their cells express their genes as proteins by applying molecular biology to medical testing. The technique is used to diagnose and monitor disease, detect risk, and decide which therapies will work best for individual patients Our molecular biology laboratory is a state-of-theart facility, offering molecular testing in the fields of infectious and genetic disease, molecular oncology and DNA profiling. The laboratory has expertise in an array of molecular techniques including PCR, DNA sequencing and in-situ hybridisation. Approximately 80 different diagnostic molecular tests are available and new tests are continuously being evolved and developed. This service is offered for routine diagnostics and clinical trials. The activities and services carried out by the Rescue Lab essentially fall within the framework of the bio-sanitary sector, specifically the field of genetics and functional genomics, through the use of new highperformance technologies such as DNA micro arrays, genetic sequencing and protein and cellular analysis. In line with this profile, this area provides technological services and works on research projects within diverse knowledge areas. Rescue Lab performs urine, pus and blood cultures. Rescue Lab involve highly trained technologist using different cultured media to isolate growth. Contaminated free media is used to perform microbiology testing and well-known antibiotic discs are used to identify micro bacterium.
